Comedy Key West presents The MadHouse - Key West’s only open mic for comedy, music, variety and impropriety. Performers of all stripes welcome - comedians, musicians, poets, and those who don't know it. Show starts at 8:30 PM.

KEN ROGERSON, the funniest man you’ve never heard of, started his comedy career working the Chicago club circuit and at the famed Second City. After touring with the improvisation troupe The Comedy Rangers, Ken moved east and became part of the exploding Boston comedy scene of the 1980’s, where he honed his standup act to a fine edge “…sharp enough to cut the head off a rabbit at thirty yards.” 

Fresh off his second nationwide “Rescue Me Comedy Tour” with Denis Leary, Kenny is a favorite in clubs, theaters and on the large and small screen. You may have seen him as “Kevin the Biker Fireman” on F/X’s hit show “Rescue Me” starring Denis Leary and as “Pat the Cop” on ABC’s “It’s All Relative” with Lenny Clarke. He has also made numerous other television appearances on such shows as NBC’s , “Late night with Conan O’Brien”, “The Late Show with David Letterman”, “Comics Come Home” for Comedy Central and Showtime’s “A Pair of Jokes” just to name a few. Rogerson has also appeared at The Chicago Comedy Festival and TBS’s The Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.

The Boston Herald proclaimed, “He makes the absurd seem logical” and Las Vegas Magazine wrote, “As far as pure stand-up goes, it doesn’t get any better than Rogerson.” Michael Blowen of the Boston Globe raved, “He is fall down on the floor funny! Why doesn’t this guy have his own show?” Nick Zaino, also from the Globe says, “He’s as funny a comic as Boston has produced.”

A writer, sketch player, actor and comedian, Rogerson wrote and starred in comedy film pieces on Fox Television Network’s “Sunday Comics” and has made film appearances in “Fever Pitch” and “There’s Something About Mary.”

James Yon

James Yon is a high energy, fun loving, feel good teddy bear of a performer that loves to make people laugh. He invites every audience member to come along for the ride that is his crazy life, from growing up with brutally honest grandmother in the south and the never ending struggle of being a husband and a father. He can be seen each week as the host of, “The Lowdown” on XFINITY COMCAST AFRO Channel 1623 and can be heard on IHeart radio’s “Real Laughs on 104.1”. James tours clubs and casinos all over the country from Orlando to Las Vegas bringing the funny as part of his mission to make the world laugh.

After living in Key West for 20 years or so (she doesn’t remember how many exactly), Kathy recently moved back to the Boston area. She’s been performing at Comedy Key West since the start, The Key West Theater, The Green Parrot, the San Carolos Theater and the Orlando Improv. She was picked to perform at the Flamingo, Brickell and NY Underground Comedy Festivals. Up north she performs often in Boston and New Hampshire. Audiences relate to her dry, and let’s face it, awkward take on everyday situations. Her inspiration comes from working with the general public for more than 20 years, traveling the world and mostly the clarity that comes from a good nap and would rather be home on her couch with her dog.

Kathy Gilmour got her start at Comedy Key West where she performed weekly for seven years. She’s coming home to Key West to perform with some of her faves for a fundraiser for those with Parkinson’s Disease. She has done an insane thing by signing up for an endurance event at the end of October and has decided to use the opportunity to raise funds for the Shawn Thornton Foundation for the Parkinson’s fight to honor friends and family. Jon Rudnitsky is an actor, writer, and comedian who can be seen opposite George Clooney in the Hulu Series CATCH-22 and CURB YOUR ENTHUSIAM opposite Larry David. Rudnitsky also starred in Universal Pictures' ALL MY LIFE also performed in the Tyler Perry movie NOBODY’S FOOL, alongside Tiffany Haddish and Whoopi Goldberg.

In 2017, Rudnitsky starred in the Nancy Meyers produced feature HOME AGAIN, opposite Reese Witherspoon. He is also featured in a supporting role in Edward Burns’ SUMMERTIME, and Netflix’s comedy SET IT UP opposite Glen Powell and Zoey Deutch. Rudnitsky was added as the only new cast member of the 41st season of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE. Other TV credits include NBC’s CHAMPIONS, Disney's BIG HERO 6 series, Amazon’s RED OAKS, and Comedy Central’s THE COMEDY JAM, where he performed “Footloose” alongside Kenny Loggins.

As a stand up comedian, Rudnitsky tours all over the country, was selected for the prestigious New Faces showcase at Montreal’s Just For Laughs in 2015, and made his late night debut on CONAN in 2019.

Jim Colliton is a top shelf, headlining, stand-up comedian who has grown up in the suburbs and now lives with his wife and three children in the suburbs. Jim is a confused middle-aged man who can spin soccer games, school drop-offs, and lunches into his comedy material based around his life as a dad and husband. If you have ever been embarrassed about the contents of your recycling bin or tried to kill a flying bat in your house you will find Jim's comedy hilarious. Married and raising kids in the suburbs is the backdrop for Jim Colliton's comedy, whether it's lousy Father's Day gifts, buying the wrong things at the supermarket, or just the daily pitfalls of being a dad. Jim’s every man life stories will bring down the house every time. Based out of Boston, venues all over the country have brought Jim in to provide funny, clean comedy.

Brendan Eyre is one of the country's top young comedians. His laid back, observational style is a hit with audiences across the country. He has appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC, Comedy Central, is a regular on Sirius Satellite Radio, and his comedy has racked up over 20 million views on TikTok (a platform he still doesn't really understand). Brendan's debut album Desiree was a hit on both the Billboard and iTunes comedy charts. Also, he has a blue belt in jiu-jitsu and his weight fluctuates wildly.

April Macie was a finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2006, has appeared on E! Entertainment, Sirius and XM Radio, Access Hollywood, Talk Soup, and HLN. April has appeared on the Howard Stern show where in 2008 she was voted the “Funniest and Hottest” comedian in America. She is also a regular guest on the Bob and Tom radio show and has toured with the Bob & Tom All-Stars. April has appeared on Showtime’s I Am Comic, Vegas Is My Oyster, Snoop Dogg’s: Bad Girls of Comedy, and was the host of the AVN Awards. April has also appeared on Comedy Underground with Dave Attell on Comedy Central and Jenny McCarthy’s Dirty Sexy Funny on A&E. She also gave a TEDx talk on turning pain into humor. Currently, April travels internationally as a headlining stand-up comedian.
